    coattails in NC. And while they haven't pulled out of NC totally, they shifted money and staff to Ohio. What they don't get is that there are many people who will spilt tickets here, voting Obama and McCrory---especially older voters. I still have a feeling that Obama will carry NC because of OFA's turnout efforts and because I think a lot of Republicans are taking for granted that McCrory's huge lead over Dalton for Governor will translate into  a win for Romney. I do have quite a few Republican friends who aren't planning on voting. They don't like either Obama or Romney (many wanted Ron Paul) and they aren't all that invested in the race. I know none of them have voted yet and I doubt any of them will stand in a long line on election day (especially if it rains). I can honestly say I have not seen anywhere near the number of Romney stickers on cars or signs in yards that I saw McCain in 2008. And this is a red county.
