else besides what was said in the Obama/Romney debate.  It would take a lot more than that to get me to agree with Glen Beck. Though we've all assumed it I think Romney did make it clear that he has no problem with drones. In that respect they seemed the same. I thought Romney's answer on that seemed honest and heartfelt. Just in case anyone thought a third party vote or a no vote would somehow affect the use of drones.

'expanded debate' had Jill Stein and Rocky Anderson answering the same questions is what I'm talking about.
I don't have any idea where Glen Beck got into this discussion and if it is it has nothing to do with the point I'm trying to make. I think if people heard Dr. Stein and Rocky Anderson more people would agree with either of them on every question more so than what we got from Team Blue vs Team Red.

      •  I think I understand your point. (0+ / 0-)

But this thread started with the comment that the commenter agreed with Glen Beck that "Mitt agrees with Obama so much" and that the debate tonight proved how much alike the two parties are.  So I don't think the original comment based that perception on the debates at Democracy now. But I also don't think you could come to that conclusion from this substance-free debate. So I think it was incorrect to point to the Obama/Romney debate as "proof" that the two parties are the same. Or even similar. I'm sure the debate at Democracy Now had more substantive answers. But it's easy for politicians to give substantive answers when they arent really trying to win. So we can't really take their willingness to discuss more possibly controversial subjects as an indication of more political courage and integrity since they don't  have anything to lose.
