I am a very lapsed Catholic who always admired people like the Berrigan brothers (Jesuits), Dorothy Day, and John Dear, SJ. It is time that the Church stopped focusing so much on abortion as a singular issue and paid attention more to social justice for all, including the children and people who live beyond birth. When they do that, I would consider the Church to be truly catholic. Note the small "c" - catholic means universal,. ironically.
