      and funny, I don't have a creep reaction to those crickets!!  LOL  they are cave crickets for sure.  

      Makes me wonder if in general it's just being in the basement that makes them extra creepy.  I have always been weirded out by the basement in the house - since i was a kid!  Maybe that creepy factor has oozed into these crickets... that and having them jump at me and at my face if I'm bending over getting something.  ugh.

      I could let the cats roam the basement, but it needs serious organizing and my sibs to come and get their stuff.  I don't let the cats roam down there... but I know they'd make short shrift of them all if I did!  :)
