sign, and rescue a recent diary that is going down the drain as I write, by recommending it. Reid has been charging hard in our behalf, time for us to join up.

We are all wearing the blue dress now.

      •  Here's what I put in the message field (none)
I weep for our flag, and our republic, when I think of what these small-minded men and women -- hiding behind the name Senator -- are about to do.  They deny American citizens their voices.  Have they forgotten who they work for?  Have they no sense of their duty to We The People?  Have they no shame?

Checks and Balances in government are the Backbone of The United States of America.  Without them, we are in danger of installing totalitarianism in our country.

Senator Frist and his supporters are proposing nothing less than the destruction of our form of government.

I advise Senator Frist to ask himself how he personally believes he measures up to the Founders of our great nation.  Does he presume to be their equal?  Does he feel superior to them?  If not,  why does he presume authority to dismantle their carefully considered checks and balances, and separation of powers?

I don't believe Senator Frist and his supporters have thought very deeply about what they are attempting to do to Our Country. They seem more concerned with petty partisan expediency and the elimination of dissent than with their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.

Throwing Advise and Consent down the toilet is the most radical of ideas to come out of politicians in a very long time.

The United States of America comes First.  Not the parties, the President, nor the judges.  When the Senate convenes, its foremost concern should be the good of the country.  It seems Senator Frist and his cohorts have either forgotten this, or they never consider it.

As an American citizen, I oppose the Judicial nominees who were rejected by the Senate last year.  If any one of them had any respect for the Constitution and the stability of our country, they would remove themselves from consideration, and refuse to be associated with this assault on our nation.

The Filibuster is in place to protect the rights of the Minority Party.  I support it as a Patriot.

I urge Senator Frist to withdraw his threats, grow up, & start behaving like a United States Senator.  I urge all Senators to reject the "Nuclear Option", as Senator Lott has dubbed it.

I hope Harry really gives 'em hell.  I hope the mod repubs have a major attack of conscience, good sense & respect for the institution they have been entrusted with.  It's a long shot these days.  Maybe Harry has a head count.  Voinovich was a baby step, but a sign of cracks in the thugs' armor.
