Just as in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and the rural western counties are like different universes, so too in Ohio. Every state has geographical (and social class) variety. That's why it's critical to have people in charge of the ground operation who know (and have records going back several cycles) street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, union hall by union hall. From what I've seen, the Obama people have pulled in superb local people and databases, and deployed resources well, starting in the 2008 primaries and caucuses and moving forward. If they beat the Clintons (who were also pretty good ground-gamers too), they should be able to beat Romney/Ryan.

    Forward to Nov. 6 --
