    I will hold my nose, vote for Obama, and then go back to fighting the very next day, because on every issue I criticize him for, Romney is either the same, worse, or much worse.

    But the war on whistleblowers, impunity for torture and Wall Street fraud, and process-free assassination of American citizens are very hard pills to swallow.

    Perhaps we can make progress by demanding that Eric Holder be replaced by someone who will say, "It is the president's opinion that we should look forward, not backward, but all prosecutions are based on past activities, and as Attorney General it is my job, not his, to supervise federal prosecutors and make those calls. Furthermore, the State Secrets Privilege, unless used very narrowly, is a threat to accountable government, so we will no longer assert it in court except to exclude specific evidence that, if released, would seriously harm the United States.  Evidence that is merely embarrassing to the government does not qualify."
