I tried to "unsubscribe" on several of my thousand emails from them and the link dead ended each time.

In my opinion, there are other organizations to support.  I supported Change.org from Day 1 because I felt they shared my values.

If they built in on my back, I expect them to continue to support my values.  If not, I'll go elsewhere.  It's a free world and they have the right to expand their business model.  Green is green, as they say.

But I don't have to participate.

And God said, "Let there be light"; and with a Big Bang, there was light. And God said "Ow! Ow My eyes!" and in a flash God separated light from darkness. "Whew! Now that's better. Now where was I. Oh yea . . ."

So I just logged onto Change.org, clicked on the link for account settings (somewhere in the upper right corner I think?), and I could see the option to delete the account toward the bottom.

And I agree there are other organizations to support.   This quote summarizes my thoughts exactly:

"When you see MoveOn.org promote a petition, you never have to wonder if we're doing it because someone paid us to," Biel wrote in an email to HuffPost. "For years, progressives have built a huge advantage over the right wing on the Internet, and it would be awful to lose that in service of a short-term payday."
