    he won the governorship.
I think everyone in FL was totally surprised by the results.
Thanks for providing this update of endorsements.
I'm surprised that only 2 papers have endorsed Obama in FL - Tampa Bay Times & Miami Herald, which have a working relationship. They share reporters, especially on political stories.

I share a birthday with John Lennon and Bo Obama.

the turnout was crappy - he didn't even get a majority of the votes he just had a larger minority than Alex Sink, but the difference wasn't close enough to trigger a run off or recount.

I'm very worried about turnout here - there are already 5 hour waits in lines here - first day of early voting.  Between the stupid 10 page ballot, and the shortened early voting days and hours, I sure hope a lot more people voted absentee than they've done before.

get outraged when they do not provide enough voting machines to the point you have large lines? today here in iowa my town had voting stations set up at movie theaters  , libraries and the malls , I am certain it piss's off the gop t bagger crew lol

I waited in line in 2008 for almost 6 hours on the Sunday before the election.  My son waited in line for 4.5 hours on the Monday the week before the election.

By cutting our early voting period from 14 days to 8, plus having a ridiculous 10 page ballot in the counties that have to print them in 2 or 3 languages (it's 4 pages if it's English only and there's no local issues), people are already waiting in line up to 5 hours - we just started yesterday.

Thank goodness most of them seem to expect it, they're bringing magazines and books, OFA is passing out bottled water, some of them are in groups so they're just passing the time talking to each other and taking pictures.

I know somebody posted yesterday that they went, found the wait was 3 hours, so they left and said they'd be back, went back after lunch and it was STILL a 3 hour wait so they decided to try later in the week.  I don't think it's going to get any better, best bet is to try to get there at least an hour before the polls open and try to be near the beginning of the line, if you can afford to be late for work, wait it out.

          •  I already voted by absentee ballot, hand-delivered (0+ / 0-)

to the elections office. A worker verified my signature online before I dropped the ballot in the box.
