My personal experience is with Bain & Co. (and McKinsey). My wife's experience includes Bain Capital.  While these two businesses have their own business models, a lot of the same advice (or directives in the case of BC?) flow from both.  Bain & Co. have worked for the companies that Bain Capital invested in.  Bain & Co. recommended outsourcing to the companies I mentioned and I'm sure many others.  Bain Capital has done the same or hired consultants to who would do so.  After the investment, the differences in what actions they take is not that different.

So it doesn't change the fact that Romney has been credited as an outsourcing pioneer.  Romney came from Bain & Co. Bain Capital was, is, and will be Mitt Romney so long as they are following his playbook.  I see no evidence that they aren't.

Following Romney's playbook also has a nice ring to it.
