    ...then maybe it wasn't that useful, after all.

    But this is the reason why the Liberal Arts are so expensive. After you get a bachelor's degree, you need to get another degree on top of it in order to be productive...

      That's a crazy thing to say. There are lots of people that have only liberal arts degrees and no others working high-paying professional jobs.

      In better times, my undergrads used to get higher-paying jobs than my 30-something tenure-track self, and quickly elevate.

      One of them, who only had writing skills, got an editing job, then was hired on to write at a tech company, and quickly found himself as project manager overseeing software programmers for a customer website. What did he know that they didn't?

      1. How to write
      2. How to research
      3. A sense of aesthetics
      4. How to communicate
