      •  Seriously? Since when? (0+ / 0-)
...navigated between the Democratic Party’s left, which urged populist measures that would have been expensive and ineffectual...
The industrial-policy element of the recovery plan, favoring high-speed rail where it’s not needed and electric cars that consumers won’t buy, wasted a lot of money.
Sounds to me like a "center-right" position. Look, I know the Republican party has moved so far to the Right it's hard to recognize what "center-right" looks like anymore, but characterizing government initiatives and stimulus spending as wasteful and ineffective (without providing evidence or some sort of reference, no less!) while praising foreign policy built on spec ops intervention in foreign affairs to manipulate the politics of other nations in America's interest (but not all out invasion and war) is classic "center-right" positioning. WaPo has become little more than a shallow, narrative driving rag, useful only to check for interesting local events for residents in the area.
