  •  it's not just sporadic voters (14+ / 0-)

there are lots of democratic voters registering at the polls.  nc has same day registration when you vote early.  i have been volunteering at the polls and driving people to the polls for 7 out of the 10 early voting days.  and each time i am at the polls, i have seen SEVERAL democratic voters registering to vote.

in addition, i have helped provide rides to the polls to people who would otherwise be unable to vote.  and nc is also allowing curbside voting which is helping otherwise disabled voters vote by avoiding waiting in line.

as i have mentioned here before, once people realize the CAN vote (without voter id, without being registered, even though they're too disabled to wait in line) they tell others.

i am very very encouraged by everything i see on the ground here in guilford county.  i can speak about elsewhere in the state, but things here are looking very good.

    •  Guiford County has been fantastic so far. (4+ / 0-)

The numbers coming out of Guildford County and Mecklenburg County have been great. The number of AA voters in Guildford County has gone from 23k to 31k at the same period in 2008. That's about 35% increase over 2008. Yesterday Alicia Keys helped GOTV efforts there at A&T.

i have been to about 6 different early voting sites across the county and all of them are the same (good for dems)

i have handed out voter guides at two different sites on 4 days and clearly we have the advantage.  i have stood beside folks giving out conservative voter guides and some of them put on a brave face, but the reality is--they're getting creamed out there and they know it.  it's SWEET!!!

She's 99 years old.  We made use of curbside voting.
NC is awesome.  I hope we don't lose it all if/when McCrory wins...

today we saw an elderly gentleman wandering around looking lost at the wrong entrance (exit), receiving some assistance/directions from the poll workers.

then a few moments later we saw a young woman rushing in to help her 100 year old (grand?) father vote.

presumably she was parking the car.

we were all just stunned. all of a sudden that elderly man who just moments ago seemed to be in pretty bad shape looked incredibly fit and able for 100 years old!

so i hope your grandma votes for president again in 2016
