  •  Congresswoman...the VA has also been (8+ / 0-)

known for waste regarding duplicate medications on a regular basis ..such as tegatrol or B vitamins ...anything that is non narcotic.  It confuses the veteran thinking they have not taken their medicines.   They are doing this consistently for years and with not just one veteran but many.   In Many states.

The paper act was also enacted in mid nineties but the VA sends out multitudes of FDA warning on each prescription on each mailing.   Then it says it  does not necessarily go with all side effects.   Why send it over and over but rather have the veteran instructed to secure the instructions or go  on a web site to look up the meds? Less waste of paper.  There is something that needs looking into as well.  the veteran could not possibly take all the extra prescription sent out by big pharma but big phama is taking those federal dollars.

The General has improved the care greatly under the Obama administration but the waste could be lessened and should be.

We the People have to make a difference and the Change.....Just do it ! Be part of helping us build a veteran community online. United Veterans of America
