but you shouldn't live in the past.

Politics has always been a story of hope and disappointment, and then hope again.  If you want to jump off into cynicism, that is your right.  But don't try to drag others into the darkness with you.

You won't find a perfect (human) politician.  But if you're honest with yourself, you will admit that one candidate will do more good than the other -- or, at the very least, do less harm.  And that makes an actual difference in the real world.  I know this to be irrefutably true in my own life, and in the lives of people I care about.

      Please proceed, Governor.

I live in the present with a keen eye to the future but with a knowledge of the past.

On a blue moon, I come over to this sad site to post something to stimulate those not already benumbed by the inanity of mainstream political discourse in this country.

I'm not into "lesser evil" politics since that would mean surrendering my own moral responsibility to two political parties neither of which have a moral or ethical compass.

I engage directly, in concert with others, in direct action and direct democracy, and refuse to surrender my voice to some "representative" who readily sells out to big money.

He's got a die-hard hatred of this site and a poor grasp of data analysis.

His only mission on DKos is to gratify himself with the tossing of a few insults. Same stuff different troll.
