Is about as likely as Palestinians magically going away and making the lives of Israeli Likudniks much easier.

You can't ignore people like Pam Geller and you can't separate them from the rest of society.  They, too, are America, just as much as you and me.  You need to confront, but you shouldn't confront them in the same way that you would a person who you can respectfully disagree with.  This is a problem that requires adopting a different set of tactics.

    •  Agreed. "Go away" wasn't meant literally, (1+ / 0-)

    •  Confront, but not on their terms and their rules. (0+ / 0-)

That isn't confrontation, it's handing them your head to be hoisted aloft, and only serving to legitimize them.

How many people have tried and failed to confront Rush Limbaugh on his playground? It never works. Even the likes of John Stewart can only battle O'Reilly to a draw, and I'm sure that's with his people having the leverage to negotiate pretty strict terms of engagement ahead of time.

Jessie is correct. There are much more effective ways of dealing with these people.
