Looks like she will have her own little island for awhile.  Hope she has some food stocked up.  My two sons are very happy too.  Two days off from school with a full day's notice.

Before I even got to tell my youngest about the school closing (he was upstairs) he came down and told me.  It was a News Flash! across facebook and Xbox live and Skype, apparently :) among the kids who are all totally networked in several different ways.

my oldest is preparing.  He is in a worse spot than any of us and I am worried.  He's on high ground but in an area that has bad flooding problems.  Christie was just on the TV saying that the Raritan basin is the highest risk right now.  His dorm is one block away from the Raritan river but it's way uphill and he is right across from the student center and the dining hall.  He was going to come home on the train but decided against it. Then they shut down NJ Transit at 4pm anyway.  He might be stranded for awhile from the outside world but should be fine in the small area that he is in.  I imagine that the Hurricane parties have started already on campus.
