I am with your righteous anger.

As much as some men want to think they have a right to decide what women do with their bodies. . .IT JUST ISN'T ANY OF THEIR EFFING BUSINESS.  I often get pummeled here for saying just that, but that is MY DEEPLY HELD BELIEF.

There is no earthly reason we should still have to be having this conversation in this country in the year 2012.

    •  No shit (7+ / 0-)

Your generation fought for this so I didn't have to.

And now I have to ?

We would not accept going back generations in any other way, but  in this way?

I was born in the late seventies. I should NOT have to be dealing with this shit. We already fought this battle. And by "we," I mean you. And all the women who knew what life was like before Roe V. Wade.

I was supposed to be spared that world, now I'm in it. That is unacceptable.

      P.S. I am not a crackpot.

      •  Yeah (5+ / 0-)

The "circling the drain" syndrome of these idiots is very tiresome.

I have spent my whole life fighting one thing or another and they all seem to be quite related to women and their rights as full citizens.  It seems endless.

When I was high school age I knew a couple of young women who died from botched "back alley" abortions.  I cannot think of any reason whatsoever that we should go back to those days.

I sure as hell am angry about all this nonsense, but to tell you the truth I'm getting pretty tired.  I thought perhaps I could get a little rest as I was nearing the end of the journey.  Doesn't seem so.  And why every young woman doesn't know and isn't taught about all the long battles we have had over these and many other issues totally baffles me.  I run into far too many young women that don't know a thing about these issues and don't seem to care.
