    with less than 5 points is a "tossup" and anything with Romney leading by one point is "momentum" or a "surge" or "advantage Romney."

      on a curve, right? With race playing such an obvious and big role in this election, one has to wonder how big a role it plays in at least parts of the media (beyond Fox of course), even if subconsciously. I think that after having cheered his election in 2008, more than a few people are having second thoughts, and that race has a lot to do with it. Not everything, of course, but more than a little.

        pretty good handle on that. Have you seen the latest ad that they are putting out. It's on rec list. If you watch that ad it's almost as if the campaign thinks there may be a reverse 'Bradley effect' in play. It plays up the secrecy of your vote. Like it's saying 'pay no attention to the media or water cooler chat'.
