    they always mention that someone may want to turn in an entirely empty ballot as sort of a protest vote. While we still use paper ballots (yeah for paper) they get fed into a ballot reader to indicate whether there are overvotes or if the card is blank. If the voter wants it like that, we can override the setting that would normally spit the ballot back and let it go through.

    For your unopposed Repub, check if there is a write in candidate for that office. It's probably no use but at least you've expressed your opinion.
