  •  I always liked the bit about subway stations (6+ / 0-)

    As I recall it from decades ago, they were dashing down a tunnel with a Shuggoth in hot, slimy pursuit, as if a subway train was bearing down on them with no possibility of escape unless you could outrun it.

    Terrifying image.
