    I grew up in a town called Pinhook MO. I don't know the origin of the name. However, just so you now, in 2011, the Missouri Army Corp of engineers flooded this little community in order to save the town of Cairo IL. This town, which at the time of it's demise was home to approximately 48 residents. As a small child, we had over 200 or more families. It was a town that back in the 1930s and 40s that the whites would only sell land to blacks in what was called the Delta area of Southeast MO. Our families were farmers. There are photos online of this area after the levees were blown that show the entire village (it was actually a village) and it was entirely under water.

    The government had promised the people there to close a 1500 foot gap in the levee but never followed through. The Patriarch of our community went before the US Senate at some point to argue with them about this point. After he passed away, no one was left to fight anymore.

    That being said, I agree with your story about Romney...
