  •  What about the FAA, FDA, SEC, FDIC, EPA, ... (5+ / 0-)

the Army Corps of Engineers and all the other myriad federal agencies that have to do with emergency response, safety, and protection for people, property, financial integrity and safety, food and drug safety, workplace safety, environmental safety, etc. I know Romney and the Republicans would love to either kill or privatize all these federal agencies that provide these services to protect and serve all citizens. Does he also want to privatize public fire departments, public police protection, public schools, public health services, etc? I think we all can guess the answer to that one (especially regarding public schools and probably public health services). This election is a BFD folks, and his comments on FEMA only emphasize that even more.

you don't need no stinkin' government!

If Mitt Romney had ever earned a living, he might have learned something along the way. (Harvard -- aren't you embarrassed by yo-yo's like Bush and Romney? Maybe you need some required courses like Humanity 101 and 401?)

Wealth protects people -- not from everything, you can still get MS and cancer and a host of other diseases, and your children can still die as teenagers -- but every bad thing that happens to you will be just a little easier to handle/bear because of your economic resources.

For some, wealth is a blindfold.
