    I don't think that being a union member means you are doing more than others who bravely serve and assist their neighbors in times like this.  

    There are lots of janitors, cab drivers, kitchen workers, cleaners, lawn workers, child care workers, personal assistants, truck drivers etc etc etc who are serving bravely in times of danger.  

    Earlier this summer, I read a story about a private garbage hauler who ran into a burning home and saved an old woman passed out on the floor.

    It cheapens the whole concept of service by others to say that union members do it better than anyone else.  

    Most of the public are not so fortunate as the union employee.  Unions, especially public unions, would get along a lot better with the public if they would be  less disdainful of non union workers.

    Religion gives men the strength to do what should not be done.
