  •  Are these True the Vote (4+ / 0-)

asshats though? I thought I had read they were Republican party training sessions. I know they are one and the same really but isn't this training sponsored and funded by the Romney campaign?

    •  Yes, it's straight from the Romney campaign (9+ / 0-)

ThinkProgress, which broke the story, posted the full document from the Racine "Volunteer Observer Training" session, and it is clearly marked with the Romney campaign logo and that of the Wisconsin GOP. There is no mention in it of "True the Vote." If "True the Vote" people were involved, it was under Romney and GOP auspices, and it is the Romney campaign's responsibility. If the Romney campaign was aiming for deniability, they probably shouldn't have billed it as their event and put their name and logo all over the document.

IANAL, but I do read rick hasen's blog on "chicanery."

The buses are most likely to as real as the Knight bus in Harry Potter said the NY Times.

The Trues are a problem in OH, where they may be bordering on violation of the law.

Who is who and whose actions are likely in violation of state law  can be easily straightened out on rick hasen's election blog.
