  •  One of those nagging problems that has (6+ / 0-)

bothered me for years. I want a sink stopper that actually works and keeps the water in the sink when I want it to be in the sink and lets it out when I want it to go out. I stuff a small plastic bag in the drain and put the stopper on top of that because the water leaking out before I have completed the dishes annoys me greatly. I've actually considered getting a dish washing machine, even though there is only two of us, just to get around this problem. I've considered putting ball valves on the drains, but I don't like the idea of bending down either.

I hope your problems are as trivial as mine. Have a good one.

I feel your pain.  I've lived in homes where that is an issue, but usually it is on one side and not the other.  Of course it is the side that is the natural side where you would wash the dishes!

I've found this type works better than the one with the stationary post that must be turned "just right" or water leaks.  You could always use the one above and put one of these over the top of that.

Cheaper to try than buying a dishwasher ;-)

      Good luck.
