    I read it was the rest of the PA state and Philly didn't get hit

      mentioned NJ, NY, CT and WV, but not Pennsylvania, in his talk yesterday. I think PA must have been spared the brunt, given the lack of images or information coming from there.

        And they had some power outages but nothing like the flooding or devastation experienced less than 100 miles to the north and east, in New Jersey and NYC.

        WV's problems have to do with snow -- remember, the rain/snow ratio is 1:10 -- if we had 2 inches of rain in D.C. and Northern Virginia, parts of WV, not that far away but at higher elevations, had 20 inches of snow.  The rain washes away, but the snow sticks around and has to be removed.  It also wreaks havoc when it falls on trees that still have leaves because it makes them really heavy and even more prone to breakage, tending to inflict even more damage when they fall on power lines.
