  •  With all due respect to Rachel Maddow... (7+ / 0-)

With all due respect to Rachel Maddow, I even see her falling into this, trying to paint a picture of a tighter race than we're actually seeing.

I only get to enjoy the audio version of her podcast on my morning commute so perhaps there was some clarification in the visuals she used, but it sounded like she was only citing the Real Clear Politics polls last night in order to draw the conclusion that this is "anyone's race" and that "it could not be closer".

Ratings are life, and I get that, but I'm also assuming that, given her general tendency to be one of the smartest pundits on TV, this was not a decision that came from her. Unfortunately all I have is last night's broadcast to go off of. Can anyone offer any insight on this?

but last evening as I watched her show Iwas kind of thinking the same thing. That said, Rachel has a first class brain as is also a real pro when it comes to being a TV host.
Blitzer and Cilliza are, IMO, completely mediocre.

Re-elect Barack Obama and elect Elizabeth Warren "Mitt Romney...utterly devoid of charm and mildly offensive."

Better that she paint it as "could not be closer" so everybody motivates off to the polls, either early or on election day. It would be self defeating to show Obama as a a clear winner, so everybody decided "it's in the bag, they don't need my vote" and stay home.

" can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem." Mitt Romney
