.....screwed things up for you.  I read a story about how researchers at NYU Medical School lost years worth of work because of Sandy, flooding the basement and labs.

the horrors NYC/NJ are enduring.  Gallery owners in Chelsea got flooded out, too, and tons of art is now trash.  I hope they were well-insured.  We were spared b/c the storm hit NJ rather than DelMarVa.  Had it hit there, the projected path would have brought it right up through central PA.

Further adding insult, the Red Cross didn't get there for most of the week.  And it's cold: no power and therefore no heat for thousands, maybe more.

I know they will try to get the subways running ASAP, but the extent of the flooding in the tunnels means it won't be that quick.  And the city lives on its subway lines -- it's the fastest & easiest way to get around in most of the five boroughs.

.......all this now is how voting will be affected on Tuesday.  Obviously there's no talk of delaying the election, and the affected areas are more blue than red.  But still....

        •  Rumors that NJ is going to allow (0+ / 0-)

voting by email.  Not sure how NYC will handle it.

So, yes, that's a worry.  It's a worry here, too: Although my city wasn't seriously affected, I'm not sure how badly the really Dem parts around Philly were damaged, nor whether those people will be able to vote.

And we need those voters.  Otherwise, the Teahadists win.

And huge chunks of this state are Teahadist.
