  •  I read Atlas Shrugged in my early teens (11+ / 0-)

...Does the fact that 13 and 14 years are the main consumers of his book tell us anything about it?

A friend of mine insisted that it was the best book ever.  I thought it was ridiculous caricature.  The ending was something out of a comic book, and I'm not a big fan of comic books.

It was just ridiculous on so many levels that even my 13 year old brain rejected it.  The fact that Paul Ryan still has such an attachment to this book makes me think that his emotional growth is severely stunted.
