  •  I wonder (0+ / 0-)

If the Democratic Party will ever have a clearer message than the other guy is worse.  The campaigns are turning election day into Halloween.  The biggest miracle will be if they haven't scared everyone in Ohio into hiding under the bed.

You got a better path forward that magically includes allowing Romney to win?

Until you can answer this question then I cannot take your whining seriously.

      •  I will be voting on Tuesday (0+ / 0-)

For candidates who oppose cuts to Medicare and Social Security.  Some of these candidates will win.  And I will be able to say "don't blame me" in December when the party ignores progressives and votes for the Grand Bargain.

        •  And of those who will lose (0+ / 0-)

how many will have enabled the Repub to win, and what will you say then?

          •  I will say (0+ / 0-)

They did not want my vote.  They did not think they needed my vote.  When they left Medicare eligibity age on the table, when they CHOSE to touch the 3rd rail they lost.

            •  I'll end with this (1+ / 0-)

I believe that it's entirely consistent to vote for people who do things you are completely against when the only viable alternative is voting for (or otherwise enabling the election of) people who would be even worse, and then actively working to keep them from doing these once elected while at the same time working towards replacing them with better people down the line. I think this is a much more tenable approach to real-world politics than simply not voting or voting for non-viable 3rd party candidates in swing elections.
