Link of Houston Chronicle's home page: Ted Cruz could cost Texas its share of pork

They might as well change that to "will cost." Yet our Cruz-endorsing paper waited til after the election to point this out. Hmmm.

Folks kept saying that we had to elect this whack-job teabagger to the Senate and hit rock-bottom before things would change. At this point, I have to hope his voters get exactly who they voted for.

      Ted Cruz:

"I think if you get 435 members of Congress and all 100 members of the U.S. Senate viewing their job as just feeding at the trough… that is how you bankrupt the country.”
This is similar to what Scott Walker did with the high-speed rail money. He ran on refusing to take federal government money because it was "wasteful". The teapartiers lapped that up but it had no bearing on anything in our state. Scott Walker turning down that money just meant that the money would not go to Wisconsin ... the money was already appropriated. I believe it ended up in California. (You're welcome, Glen The Plumber!)

Ted Cruz refusing to feed at the trough for Texas will just hurt Texas. This is what happens when you elect stupid people who have no idea how government works.
