  •  I would argue that's different. (0+ / 0-)

Not selling teargas is more active in taking sides.  And, besides, we sold it to them before this event.

...they were going to use it for?

We Glory in war, in the shedding of human blood. What fools we are.

      •  Who SHOULD we sell teargas to? (0+ / 0-)

Name one country that the US SHOULD sell teargas to.  France?  What if there is a popular uprising in France?  Should US teargas be used against French citizens?  What do you think they would use it for?

You're asking a much bigger question that doesn't really have to do with Kuwait.  If there is no country that we should sell teargas to, then events in Kuwait aren't part of that issue.

we should sell teargas to, then we should not sell teargas.

          Please stop equivocating.

          •  No, we shouldn't. (0+ / 0-)

I'm not sure we should sell it within the US to police departments, either.  Would you want to sell it to the Berkeley PD?  The NYPD?  I wouldn't.

So about selling tear gas to the Kuwaitis before this protest happened... I think we would be better off not selling tear gas and rubber bullets and other crowd control bullshit to anybody.
