  •  You reminded of the rally at the St. Pete's Times (3+ / 0-)

Forum in Tampa in 2008. I picked up an old friend and set out 3 hours ahead of time and barely made it in. Just before the president came on,'s "yes we can" was playing and the crowd was electrified when then senator Barack Obama came before us. It was the experience of a life time.

Aw man.  I lived in Utah in 2008, so I don't remember him coming out more than maybe once.

So happy you (and I) got to see him live at least one time!

...Obama will be out stumping for the Democratic nominee in 2016.   I think we'll have more chances to see him give campaign speeches!

In 1992, I attended Clinton's inauguration.  A heck of a long time ago, heh.   I was not close--about 200 yards and about a million people who were very excited that 12 years of Reagan and Bush were ending.  It was electric.

And last week I saw Clinton for only the second time in person when I attended his St. Petersburg rally.  He was impressively energized despite an exhausting schedule.

I like it that we elect young Democratic presidents!  (Though haven't seen Carter in person. Yet.)
