Since I hang with a horsey type, I think three things need to be worked out on the horse connection if we are going to find out about the metal pipe in the stable :

    1. Cameron's relative unhorseyness: the bit of information received by Brit from a source during his training for the Olympics that David received equestrian training as an adult. (Appears to me unlikely that he did not have basic pony class, given his class and growing up in the exurbs--but the text seems to confirm it).

    2. CB's stables. He is I am guessing going to have two or one in two parts: Stable of race horses being trained. Ridden by trainer, exerciser, jockey; Stable of horses for pleasure riding: different breeds, values, and degrees of difficulty. One for example for RB to learn to ride on, as she is not to the equestrian manner born. (confirmable from racing news and public business records if he is incorporated. Is he a trainer for hire or does he run his own horses, have his own colors?)

    3. The police horse. In the US from personal experience I have been told  police horses are very difficult rides. They can be immense beasts (I have seen a Percheron used*) and are not for a trot in the park from a for hire stable.

*wiki=bred to be war horses. they began to be used for pulling stage coaches and later for agriculture and hauling heavy goods.

"Are you bluish? You don't look bluish," attributed to poet Roger Joseph McGough, for the Beatles' Yellow Submarine (1968).
