Apparently, someone voted as me already today, which was news to me, since I had gotten up about 20 minutes before I went to the polling place -- a building I had never even seen before, in a part of town I didn't know existed until a week ago.

Yet there I was, ID in hand, looking at a polling book with my name highlighted as having voted.

I threw a shit fit and whoever is in charge came over, looked me up in their already voted book (a double check) and saw that my name was erroneously crossed off and gave me a regular ballot.

I was not about to let them screw me out of my first ever Democratic ticket.

As soon as I got home, I called the Election Protection Project and registered a complaint.

Again, if something isn't quite right, or if you're asked to vote with anything other than a regular ballot (not a provisional ballot, and not an absentee ballot), don't fuck around -- call the hotline.

The number is 866-OUR-VOTE. They will take down your information and they will investigate.

Unreal. Time to open the Glenlivet and wait for results to roll in.

PS Thank you all for your kind words. Setting politics aside for a moment, I've been on red state and all the regular GOP hunting grounds, and this is by far the most civil, decent, realistic, and hard-working community i've yet seen. A big round of e-applause for kos and the team for what you've all built. I'm just glad to be here.
