    If you truly think for one second that Weyrich was not 100% in favor of doing whatever was necessary to keep Democratic voting down—up to and including all of the voter suppression measures in use today—you're remarkably naive.

      Not anti-democratic.

      Not a fanatic.

      What he did do was to bring the anti-abortion voters into the Republican Party by the millions. And specifically to increase their voting percentage up above any other voter block.

      I shared lunch with him dozens of times. He never lied. He never hid what he thought. Unique guy for Cap Hill. and that's probebly why very wealthy people -- Joseph Coors and the Waltons -- were happy to give him their money.
