  •  Oh, in Real Life? Us too. ;-) (8+ / 0-)

But this being at Cafe Wellstone (founded long ago by Jesus' General), there'll be a fair number of creative and funny Kossacks and others there, so Dysfunctional Family Thanksgiving is one huge, comedic role play of imaginary dysfunctional Thanksgiving relatives. This being Second Life, costuming is no problem. :-D One year I was an embittered would-have-been clown who kept telling everybody about how the family wouldn't let him go to Clown College, adding little bits of costume as the evening went on (red nose first) until by the end I was dressed as Pennywise the Clown, passed out on the floor in a pool of spilled booze. Another friend who's a highly-accomplished mother of two from Boston in RL played "newly-vegan college student complaining about the presence of turkey on the table."

Okay, kind of over the top, but when everyone's playing along it can be surprisingly cathartic. :-D

And now I am home, and the 5-day weekend is begun. I have a whisky in my hand and Reverend Al's Politics Nation on my TV. Relaxification....
