But my point was that Maine should get to vote first because Today arrived there before it arrived in NH.

So Time is the critical issue to this thread.

Actually, time is critical because it's 2:47am. I'm working  two volunteer shifts and there's a victory party from 8pm-midnight tonight, that I should not only be awake  but partying at.

So, I think I'll say goodnight morning now.

      Enjoy your election day!

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

      •  Sorry Grover. (0+ / 0-)

You said Maine should get to vote first because it was farthest east.  You know full well that midnight arrives in Maine and NH at precisely the same time.  Time and longitude are purely arbitrary machinations.  Had you said Maine should vote first because midnight arrives there earlier than it does in NH, I would have let you slide, but that wouldn't have made sense.  Had you said Maine should vote first because it was farther east, I would have let you slide because you would have been right.  But you claimed Maine was the farthest east of all the states.  No self-respecting sourdough can let that affront to the dignity of the Last Frontier slide.

And I was wondering what you were doing up at that hour.
