  •  I wonder if they try to "forget" to return (4+ / 0-)

    some registration cards on purpose and then use them to rack in extra votes or something, for their candidate? I can't see someone doing that by accident.

      to go through the problem of obtaining another registration card to vote without showing ID in the future.

        registration information, if you bother with the legal risk of forging a signature.

        In both states I've lived in, the back of the voter card could be used to fill in corrections or changes and then mailed in to the Election Commission for registration update.

        Mine only leaves the house when I go to vote, and it only leaves my person for the absolute minimum of time it has to.

        Too many shenanigans possible with voter card custody.
