    Most of these lawyers are volunteers who poll watch.  And how do you know they're doing nothing?  The poll watchers relay reports of shenanigans to the "boiler room" controlled by the campaign, and they determine how to respond, and may already be filing for injunctions.

    Poll watchers can't physically confront the poll workers to prevent it from happening.  They also need to maintain some degree of goodwill to be allowed to continue to stay in the polling place to watch and document what's going on.  I've been a poll watcher for Dem campaigns, you need to be well-versed in the requirements, but POLITE to the poll workers, they can have you removed for being disruptive, and that does no one any good.
