    is the removal of the "anonymous hold" on nominations -- if you've got some dirt on a nominee, come right out and say it, and be willing to take the blowback if folks disagree. I lost track of how many nominees got blocked by some unknown Senate jerk. Just wait till the next Supreme Court nominee.

      the gentleman's agreement that resulted in them not being used over the past two years?  Anyways, getting rid of the hold hasn't stopped the GOP from outright blocking tons of decent nominations via anti-cloture votes.  They just do it publicly, and  aside from maybe Warren vs Brown, I don't know if any other GOP incumbents had their records attacked for taking part in filibusters.
