  •  As a guy who had to build a large data aggregation (6+ / 0-)

    system as part of his job, not to mention also maintain it and use it to provide the answers to various questions posed by people in suits, I am probably more painfully aware than most people of the truth of your statement: the aggregate of nonsense is merely more nonsense.

    Although, now that I think of it, the data gathered was probably meaningful, just not in the way they thought it was. What they had going was a sophisticated, real-time psychograph tracking the mood of Republican field operatives. And most of election night, they were feeling pretty good apparently. (Until they got the news from the people with the actual information that they only thought they had, of course...)
