    it's CHEAP. Far cheaper than electronic machines. It doesn't require special software, or weeks of training, or clog up the line if something doesn't work.

    If you mess up the ballot you tell somebody and get a new one. Takes seconds. Not hours.

    Power goes out? No problem. No worries about software glitches at the last minute.

    It's not foolproof, but it's simple. And very often, simple is way better.
