  •  SW Missouri is about the reddest part of (6+ / 0-)

Missouri, a state that is becoming more culturally similar to Arkansas than it is with Iowa, Illinois and the rest of its midwestern state neighbors. It's moving in the wrong direction. As a resident, it's frustrating.

I grew up in Neosho -- in Newton Co -- and my dad still lives in Joplin. They hate Obama here, tornado or no tornado. I have many Facebook friends from that area and I had to ignore them -- and defriend more than a few -- over the last several months of the election. It's awful.

Your statement is incorrrect with respect to teh St. Louis region, which supported Obama.

I'm glad Barack Obama is our President.

Ask them how much Federal funding would have been available to help rebuild Joplin if Uncle Sam were operating under tea party principles.

As a citizen of Wisconsin, I'm happy to pay Federal taxes to help my fellow Americans in Missouri or New Jersey or Louisiana or wherever a need arises. I just hope that southwestern Missouri keeps being disappointed on election days, so that some day if Wisconsin needs help, it'll be there...just like it was for Joplin.
