  •  Maybe Karl thought they would win in court (8+ / 0-)

His agenda was mainly to keep the race from being called.  Clearly their "plan b" was to litigate the hell out of every close state.  I think the hefty blue margins in Colorado, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and Wisconsin messed up the plan (they needed one other state besides VA, FL, and OH).

Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore

It wasn't close enough to even steal.  Election fraud was a major concern for me especially in OH and FL but this one got away from them and wasn't even close enough to steal.

      •  Yes, but (0+ / 0-)

We must continue to advocate for federal election reform and demand federal laws that protect voters from intimidation and fraud.  We need to move away from a society in which the GOP can continue to manipulate the lives of others to put themselves in power.  The GOP, as we speak, continue to pursue extralegal rights to deny people the right to vote by obfuscatory methods.

They lengthen lines to make waiting times longer and hope people will give up their rights.  They manipulate election lists and in some cases machines so that people could be indiscriminately and erroneously purged from voter and precinct lists, and speaking and advertising that long lines and chaos await them at the polls, with threats of potential intimidation or physical harm of voters in an effort to perpetuate fraud on the American public and more significantly abandoning long cherished traditions of love of the democracy for which it stands.

They wage war on the elderly by forcing them to stand long hours or limit the opportunities for them to return their ballots, potentially placing their lives in danger.

We need to make all of these things a federal crime in all 50 states.  We need legislation and we need it now before this continues.  If we are to have elections, then they must be fair and no one, for any reason, can be allowed to manipulate the process by which we as a people vote.

My own view is that we need to franchise the creation of rehabilitation centers for recovering GOP voters.  With the proper persuasion.  I suggest we start with billboards, they seem to love the billboard industry.
