    This is a public utility, providing a critical public service, and they made a plan to limit damage, limit human casualties, AND how they would restore service after the storm was done.

    They took a lot of flack last year when they shut down mass transit ahead of Irene. It turns out that was a good dry run.

    MTA also did an OUTSTANDING job at communicating timely info to the public. They had thought through much of what they would need to do, and clearly had a good triage system to decide which problems to solve first.
