  •  FYI: I am not Hide Rating you for your (0+ / 0-)

contrarian view.  I think it is legitimate to raise issues that you believe we should tackle in order to make him a better president or to strengthen our nation.

However, where your comment became borderline HR'able where you call for us to organize against the President.  It doesn't make sense to do that.  We need to organize to help more and better Democrats get elected, and we will not agree with all the things all those better Democrats pursue.  What we cannot do, however, is allow their faults to outweigh their contributions.  Or to be so blinded by our rage against the right wing (GOP) machine that we reflexively engage in ideological bloodlust.

Technically, Obamacare came from a RW policy, FWIW.  We will not ever have a purely liberal, progressive, or Democratic political atmosphere; we must somehow weave in Republican interests in a responsible way that doesn't unduly hamper the rights of the rest of America.  That is the nature of Democracy, and it is requisitely a slow process.

Because the word "if" leaves enough interpretational ambiguity in your final sentence that it doesn't outright suggest we organize against Obama as a matter of course (i.e., you might be making an "if/then" future hypothetical), I won't HR.

Perhaps you can be more specific in your calls for organization of the sort you propose and under what conditions you think such organizing might be worthwhile.  Go write a diary about it.  Perhaps there you will see whether or not your views are conducive to garnering support here on this site or if another community might better suit your needs.

    •  Are you fracking serious?! (0+ / 0-)

What is more clear than "we need to organize against him if he is advocating right wing policies/positions"?

For instance IF he is advocating for a grand bargain which cuts social security, THEN we need to be organizing against him (and obviously any one else taking that position).

How is that remotely hide worthy?  Where exactly did I run afoul of the rules?

    •  Ooops, my bad (0+ / 0-)

I assumed from reading your comment that it was you who HR'd, but is wasn't.  Please disregard my comment above.

      •  No worries. (0+ / 0-)

It's my diary but I still felt it appropriate to argue against HR'ing the commenter for what I consider to be something that did not at face value violate site rules or merit a donut.

and that I am the diarist, and even funnier that I (in my answer below) didn't realize I was responding to you, the commenter I was defending.

        LOL
