    But to respond to your comment, I suspect that Obama fears being blamed for going over the "cliff", and that Repubs know this, which is why they're willing to let us go over it, because they believe he'll cave before we do.

    You're describing what Obama SHOULD do. I'm describing what I fear Obama WILL do. He's simply not a good negotiator. He's terrified of real conflict. I don't think I'm misusing the word "terrified". I truly believe he's terrified of it. He talks tough, but in the end, if unpressured, always caves. Always.

      If you're referring to "brass", if it's good enough for Bill Clinton at the convention in front of everyone, it's good enough for KOS.  Don't make up your own rules kovie.

        MB and others have emphatically said that you can't use this term here, period, and will get banned if you do so anyway once made aware of it.
