we need to apply pressure to the President.  People did not work hard to reelect him so that he could succumb to threats and blackmail.

    •  do you think he will respond? (6+ / 0-)

or will he continue to hide behind obstruction?

in my view he has to educate the American public

in some of my other comments here I have some words to say

he could even use Krugman's words

if he doesn't stand up right away, we will have a long 4 years

      House RepubliKlans are the problem!

Oh, and as for who worked hard to reelect Obama: Nationwide, 59% of White men, 56% of White women, and 51% of White people b/t the ages of 18 and 29, voted for (R)money. And that's a +2%, +3% and a +7% increase, respectively, for the RepubliKlan candidate from how these groups voted in 2008.

In Colorado, which Obama won 51 - 47, 55% of White men and 53% of White women voted for... wait for it... (R)money!

Perhaps you are just unaware of the simple fact that the US Constitution gives the power to levy taxes to the House, which is currently under the control of the RepubliKlans - who were voted into office by... wait for it... White people, and White people only.

Funny how 4 out of Colorado's 7 House Reps are Repubs, isn't it? I guess that's Obama's fault too. Because it cannot possible be the fault of the "good" White people of Colorado who sent these four TeaBigots to Congress.

So instead of putting pressure on Obama, why not put some pressure on your family & friends to get them to stop voting for TeaBigoted RepubliKlans?

Because they are the problem, not Obama.

I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of the Republican Party.

        social security is not broke

type in that line and get an article by David Cay Johnston

when I first read the article, I thought that Obama could win the election by running on that

then, I realized that presidents have been stealing from SS for decades and Obama would never say "SS not broke"

in other words, he is in my opinion, not going to tell the truth about SS because to do that would unravel so much of the economic crap that has been peddled by both parties

he told us before the election that SS was on the table

why doesn't he listen to Bernie Sanders or other left people in the party

        or to the 99%

yes the house is controlled by the repubs

yes they have the power of the purse

but there is a reason that the legislative branch is rated at historic lows

they are working for the 1%

a Simpson-Bowles-based plan isn't going to go through, then then I'm perfectly happy to let them continue to be stubborn morons.
